Introduction

Logging in should be easy and secure—whether you're signing in for the first time or juggling multiple accounts. In this topic, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know to get signed into the Vistar platform.

Log In to Vistar

Logging in with MFA (multi-factor authentication) adds an extra layer of security to your account. This section explains how to login using MFA and what to expect if something goes wrong.

Note: MFA ties to your individual user, or email address, and device. If you share your user login with someone else, they won’t be able to complete the MFA process. 

To login with MFA:

  1. Go to trafficking.vistarmedia.com.
  2. At the Welcome screen, enter your Username or Email Address.
  3. Click Continue.

    Note: If you see that you username or email address has a typo, click Edit. This takes you back to the Welcome screen so you can re-enter your information.
  4. Enter your Password.
    Note: For help with an old, forgotten or lost password, see Change Your Password.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Check your email inbox for a new email containing your one-time password.

    Haven’t received your authentication email?

    • Check you entered your email address correctly in the Username field.
    • Take a look in your spam or junk folder. The message will come from no-reply@vistarmedia.com.

    Once you've resolved the issue, click the Resend link to try again. If the problem persists, Contact support@vistarmedia.com for help.

  7. Where you see Enter the Code, enter the 6-digit authentication code from your email.

    Note: To reduce how often you’re prompted to enter a one-time password, select Remember this Device for 30 Days. Selecting this checkbox bypasses MFA when logging in from the same device. This is not recommended when using public or shared devices. Note, if you haven’t signed in within 7 days, you’ll be prompted to enter a one-time password. And, if you’re using a private browser session (like Chrome’s Incognito mode) you’ll be prompted.
  8. Click Continue. On successful login, you’re taken to the application’s Dashboard page.

Update Your Email Address

For MFA, your account needs a valid email address. If you no longer have access to your email, or if there’s a typo, this section shows how to change your email address.

To update your email address:

  1. Contact your organization’s Vistar Media account administrator. (Preferred)
  2. Or, send an email to support@vistarmedia.com.

Log Out of Your Session

When you're done with your session, logging out helps keep your account secure.

To leave the session:

  1. Using the side navigation, click the account name at the bottom left.
  2. In the pop-up, click Log Out.

Reset/Change Your Password

Passwords can get lost or compromised. This section explains how to request a new password so you can get back into your account quickly and securely.

To reset or change your password:

  1. Go to trafficking.vistarmedia.com.
  2. At the Welcome screen, enter your Username or Email Address.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. In the Enter Your Password screen, click Forgot Password?.

  5. Click Continue.
  6. Check your email inbox for an email containing a password reset link.

    Haven’t received your password reset link email?

    • Check you entered your email address correctly in the Username field.
    • Take a look in your spam or junk folder. The message will come from no-reply@vistarmedia.com.

    Once you've resolved the issue, click the Resend link to try again. If the problem persists, Contact support@vistarmedia.com for help.

  7. Click the link and follow the onscreen instructions to change your password.

Multi-Account Support

If you work with multiple agencies, operate in different regions, or play multiple roles in your organization, you’ll need more than one Vistar account.

You’ll have a primary account and access to one, or more, destination accounts. Each destination account automatically uses the same role as your primary account. For example, if your primary account has the Reporting role, your destination accounts will too.

Enable Multi-Account Support

To enable multi-account support on your user, contact Vistar Media Support at support@vistarmedia.com.

Log In

Log in with multi-account support has a few extra steps.

To login with multiple accounts:

  1. Go to trafficking.vistarmedia.com.
  2. At the Welcome screen, enter your primary account’s Username or Email Address.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. Enter your primary account’s Password.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Check your email inbox for an MFA email.
  7. Where you see Enter the Code, enter the 6-digit authentication code sent to you.
  8. Click Continue. A list of available destination accounts shows.
  9. Click Log In for the account you want to access. On successful login, you’re taken to the application's landing page.

Switch Accounts

Having multi-account access means that sometimes you’ll need to switch accounts.

To switch between your accounts:

  1. In your chosen Vistar Media application, go to the side navigation and click the account name at the bottom left.
  2. In the pop-up, click the radio button associated with the destination account you want to access.
  3. Click Change Account
