Hi Everyone! This week we’ve released the following changes and improvements:
- Targeting on custom attributes for media owners
- Media Owners can now archive packages and deals
Targeting on custom attributes for media owners
Media owners can now target ad delivery based on any custom attributes available to their venues or screens. Vistar allows media owners to pass attribute key-value pairs on their adrequest, and then set targeting rules to deliver to venues whose attributes match the specified values. For example, let’s take a interactive screen that collects the age and gender of the user interacting with that screen. As a media owner you would be able to pass the age and gender of that user in your requests to Vistar, and set up targeting rules to only deliver ads when people of a specific age and gender are in front of that screen!
You can read more about custom targeting in Vistar’s KB here.
Media owners can now archive packages and deals
In addition to deactivating deals, media owners can now archive both packages and deals. Archiving removes the package/deal from its respective table, while still allowing media owners to pull historical reports of that deal. You can archive a deal or package by checking the box next to the desired deal or package, clicking on the Actions dropdown, and selecting Archive.
Note that deals can only be archived if they are inactive, and packages can only be archived if there are no unarchived deals associated with that package.
