We've recently made quite a few improvements to the Cortex product suite!

Strategy Makeover - out with the old, in with the new
We’ve given strategies a makeover, allowing you to deploy more versatile content with less fuss.
Simplified Content Upload
You can now directly add images and videos to your strategies in a few clicks. All previously uploaded content will be stored in a content library.

Single Zone Scheduler
Schedulers help determine playback order. We’ve created a more robust scheduler, the Single Zone Scheduler, that supports new applications and has the option to prevent playing the same content back to back. This scheduler will automatically be applied to all new strategies. Existing schedulers and strategies will continue to work as expected.
Main & Fallback Strategies
In addition to simplifying the scheduler, we’ve simplified priority levels. We now have 2 priority levels - main & fallback. The main level is for the content you want to normally run on your networks, and the fallback level is for the content you want to play if there are no active campaigns running or your device is offline.
Did you restart your computer?
One of the first steps in troubleshooting technical issues is restarting your computer. Luckily, you can now restart any device instantly from Fleet! Restarting Windows & Linux Players from Fleet will restart the Cortex Player, while restarting ChromeOS & WebOS devices will restart the entire device.
Apps on Apps
We've created a few new applications and added additional configurability to some existing ones.
The interactive application displays a web page and then gives control back to the player after a specified period of time. The webpage will be visible on the screen as soon as the user interacts with the screen and will stay active until the timeout period. After the idle timeout period, the player will resume with its strategy.
Additional parameters for Ads App
We've added a few parameters to the Vistar Media Ads App for additional configurability, such as competitive separation and stretching content.
N'sync-ing Cortex and Vistar Accounts
In order to streamline the creation of Cortex Networks and Devices, we are introducing the ability to sync Vistar and Cortex accounts. So you can say bye (bye bye) to manually entering parameters and hello to pre-populated parameters for Networks and Devices.
